Journals & Dreams…

While on Facebook hiatus, I'm finding more time to spend on other sites.  For instance, yesterday I spent quite a bit of time browsing on SheWrites, a community of women writers online.  Of course, as I read posts & comments and 'liked' things, I began to wonder if I'd left one addiction and started another.  Could this be just another Facebook in disguise???  Maybe, kinda, sorta.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time there, and learned a few things along the way I wanted to share.  I read a post yesterday [Making the Leap] Five Reasons Every Writer Should Journal, and I was reminded of all the wonderful reasons to keep a journal.  Even if you're not a writer, I've always encouraged others to journal.  So, again, I remind you to try it.

I was also inspired by someone's comment suggesting an app for a dream journal.  I haven't been good about keeping one myself, as I've only done it here & there over the years.  But this app seems to make it easy to do from your phone or computer – Dreamboard - a private place where you can track your dreams & discover more about yourself.  Try it out!

For some reason I couldn’t comment on this the other day– thank you for the shout out. I’m excited that you’re going to record your dreams. I hope it leads to self-discovery and maybe some creative sparks.

You’re very welcome for the shout out! I really did enjoy your piece on journaling. I’ve been using Dreamboard for the last few days, and it really is a nice way to record and track your dreams. Let’s see what I can learn….God knows I have a TON of dreams every night that I could write volumes on!
