In Memory of my cousin Stavroula

For a long time I chose to see that my cousin was a strong, fierce, unbending, and unstoppable force.  And she absolutely was.  Her combative nature, while not always easy to accept in everyday life, was exactly what was necessary for what life was to bring.  The lawyer vs. cancer.  The battle of all battles she was to fight.  The case is now closed after a long & difficult struggle.  She fought bravely to the end.

Today I choose to remember her for the sweetness I know she possessed inside.  She may have chosen to show the world a tough exterior, but she was truly kind, generous, caring, and loving.  I will remember her as the children we were in the picture – sweet, innocent, loving, laughing and full of life.  May she rest in peace.
